Favorite Gluten-Free Breakfasts

Breakfast is essential.  If you don't like breakfast, get over yourself and start treating your body right with a healthy breakfast.  Wake up earlier and do something so you get hungry enough to eat.  Protein in the morning is especially important and your body needs carbohydrates for energy to function right.

Favorite gluten-free breakfasts:
Eggs and meat, omelets, Cold cereal (Honey Nut Chex, Trix, Rice Chex and other flavored Chex), Hot cereal (cream of rice with favorite flavoring, gluten-free oatmeal), use home-made or UDI gluten-free bread to make Breakfast sandwiches, French Toast, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Smoothies (make with soft soy or vanilla flavored yogurt or ice cream and frozen fruit); yogurt; Instant Breakfast, all flavors; Cowboy breakfast (make a bunch and  save for other days and snacks).  Pancakes with GF flour mix or ready made mix.

Favorite paleo breakfasts:
Eggs and meat, omelets, coconut milk and coconut products.  Smoothies, banana pancakes.

Mountain Man Breakfast (Lisa's Recipe)
Using a big skillet, fry sausage and bacon and beef and ham or whatever meats you want; drain the grease except for a good layer of grease on the bottom; fry an onion and garlic if you want , then put potatoes in (use frozen hash browns for quick cooking) and cook until tender, beat eggs scramble style and pour over the top, put on the lid and let it steam until done, add cheese on top and replace lid until cheese is melted.

  1. Another tip for a fast Paleo breakfast.
I buy a large chub of sausage and cook it all up in one batch, put the cooked sausage in a freezer ziploc bag and then pull a serving size out to scramble up with my eggs. Or, I grab an egg I have previously boiled.
